On January 7, 2011, MIT launched a 150-day celebration with the unveiling of an exciting new exhibit at the MIT Museum. The 150 Exhibition showcases 150 objects, presenting a window into the Institute's rich history of invention and innovation. President Susan Hockfield, Professor David Mindell, chair of the MIT150 Steering Committee, and John Durant, director of the MIT Museum, addressed the nearly 800 guests who attended the opening reception and previewed the exhibition. The 150 Exhibition is open to the public and runs until December 31, 2011. For more information about the exhibit, visit the MIT Museum. View more MIT150 videos at Multimedia.
